Where do you fit?

Here is a survey I just took from a website that I used a few posts back. J-Sin got me lookin back there, and I took this survey. Go ahead and see what you are. I am an "Upbeat" whatever that means.

I know yall love the science as much as I do...

"The researchers used one of the world's largest and fastest computers to simulate all the atoms in a satellite virus and a small drop of water surrounding it. All together, the virus and water droplet contained more than a million atoms. Because of the enormous computing power involved, the virus was brought to digital life for a very brief period of time, only 50 nanoseconds."
So with a thousand of the fastest computer brains we could simulate maybe a micro-second in the life of a virus in a drop of water. Sounds like an intelligent design to me.

new firsts

hmm... I was pretty sure that I made a post before I left. The point of which was to tell you that I may or may not post more or less often. But also to tell you about my firsts...
the first first was being caught in the rain while riding my motorcycle.

Fortunatly for me, I didn't have to ride in the worst of the rain. Also I was able (as the picture indicates) to find shelter for my bike while the rain was coming down hardest. God be praised.
The second first was my big bike ride home. It is about 180 to 200 miles from my house (in Chapel Hill) to Suffolk. I made three stops on the way. Two were for gas. One was just to strech my legs. All in all, the trip cost me 4-5 gallons of gas. Pretty nice considering that my car costs me more like 15-16 gallons of gas for the same trip. The weather was very nice for the trip and I finally got accustomed to using my highway bars. (these are extra bars attached by the previous owner spesifically for more comfortable highway riding.) I only got to spend Sat night and sunday morning with my family, but I know that they are close by so I am pleased to have the option to go home any night this week.

I'm sure I'll be posting all week.
-Charles
PS. Oh yeah, Cody (my nephew) had his first big ride too.

Albinos wish to trade "villainous" image for that of "whiny b*tch"

Favorite Quote: "The problem is there has been no balance. There are no realistic, sympathetic or heroic characters with albinism that you can find in movies or popular culture." Anyone ever see powder? I did, and I will never get those 117 minutes of my life back. Also, who the heck cares? Too many villains are bald, fat, OCD, whatever. Give me a break. By the way if you are an albino, we can't be friends anymore because movies have just given me a bad impression of you.

I was having this discussion with some people...

And although I didn't find the exact polls I was looking for, I found some that were similar.

And according to this story, "Surveys have shown that only about 11 percent of journalists attend church on a weekly basis, while more than one-third of Americans do."
Unfortunatly the surveys were not made availble to me. Or I would make them for you. However, this is the second independant source to claim as such. (the other was a book I read called the Journey by Peter Kreeft.)

TERROR ATTACK ON DUKE!

Nah. Thats how rumors get started. There was no CALCULATED TERRORIST ATTACK ON DUKE CAMPUS TODAY. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WEREn't KILLED IN THE WAKE OF THE CARBOMB.
"A car is burning!" said local Mitzi Boswell. SECONDS LATER TWO MORE EXPLOSIONS COULD BE HEARD AT THE SITE OF THE VEHICLE. OUR OWN CHARLES W. ARNOLD WAS DEEPLY IMBEDDED IN THE DUKE CAMPUS AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT AND CAPTURED THESE SHOCKING IMAGES WITH HIS STATE OF THE ART 25 GPIXEL CAMERA PHONE.

THE DEATH TOLL IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME, BUT WE ARE REPORTING THAT OVER 25 MILLION BABIES WERE KILLED. THOSE THAT SURVIVED THE INITIAL BLAST WERE LIKELY EATEN DUE TO THE SLOW RESPONSE OF PRESIDENT BUSH WHO HAS NOT BEEN MADE AWARE OF THIS INCIDENT YET. THE AP HAS DONE EVERYTHING THEY COULD AT THIS TIME TO SAVE THE LIVES OF THE INNOCENT AND OPPRESSED. ONCE AGAIN, WE CANNOT CONFIRM, BUT ARE REPORTING, THAT GEORGE W. BUSH HAS MURDERED ALL OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS, LOVED ONES, AND PETS.

Looks like somebody has a case of the Mondays...

No wait. Thats typhoid.
Having a cold or the flu or bird flu or whatever I have sucks in a large way. I've been sick now for almost a week, and everytime i think that I am getting better, something demonstrates that I am, in fact, not. In the rockin world of Charlie's friends, Tim bought himself a house of ginormous proportions.

He will soon live in Chestertonvillesonstine....um... near Richmond. Also, Jeremey of the Karbaugh Klan and his lovely mistress bought a house of ... MacDonalds Proportions

Wow. That house is making me hungarian. (?) In old news, I still have a sweet Motorcycle that beats the ever loving heck out of a house.

I mean no offence guys. Its certainly not practi-cool to buy a sweet hog. Especially with you being married or even practically married.

Anyway, If you are my friend, and something cool happend, and I didn't mention it... then let me know and I will update everyone.

who invented 'jerk' advertising?

Have you noticed this trend? There's the kid who messes with his friends so he won't have to share his starbursts. Then there is the cingular guy (or some cell phone guy) who is a total ass to his friend because he dosen't have the latest phone and his calls are dropped... you know the "you don't have march maddness, you have march sadness" guy. Then there are some (perhaps toyota?) car ads where having a high mileage vehicle means you should drive by the gas station and make fun of the people without them, or fool the attendent who is paid to pump gas by pulling up the the pump just to throw something away. Or how about beer ads where you just go places to snipe free beer. please if you can think of any more, comment about them; or just your thoughts on the trend.

The Best press a movie ever got...

Churches employ reverse-reverse psychology to keep the faithful out of the theaters.
The Catholic and Orthodox Churches are campaigning to keep church goers from supporting the upcoming 'DaVinci Code' Movie. "The DaVinci Code" purports that Jesus was actually married to Mary Magdalen and had a child with her, the bloodline of which may still exist today. Although fictional, the book has raised questions in the minds of idiots who are willing to accept the word of a novel writer as true without exploring the facts themselves. Brown is most likely grateful for all of the extra press coverage of the upcoming movie which will cut the cost of advertising to a minimum. Will you see it? Should a christian see it?

im getting sick.

I started a post but its one that will take some time and thought. But just so you know, I am begining to feel pretty gross. Pray that I feel better.
