Hmmm...bowels is one of those crazy words that actually has two separate syllables, but is pronounced with only one.

like Charles. Yeah well F*** that. Charles has two sylables. ANybody who calls me "Challs" can't be friends with me.
Dude, travel one or two states south from where you are and they'll ONLY call you "Challs".
